The biggest hospitality brand in the country, The Hashoo Group, Pakistan is keen to launch it’s new hotel chain Hotel Two in Gilgit Baltitsan and all along the route of China Pakistan Economic Corrdior (CPEC).
The giant group through Sukuk (Islamic bonds) has raised nine (09) billion PKR recently and intends to use these funds for expansion of Hashoo Group hotel base.
The group has already purchased properties in Punjab and looking to expand their range to other provinces along CPEC route. The group is focusing on far flung areas and cities which have tourist attraction including Skardu, Gilgit and Hunza.
The group believes that infrastructural development can play a pivotal role in promoting tourism sector and hospitality runs on tourism.
In an interview with Express Tribune, PC General Manager Zulfiqar Ahmed Malik said, “In Pakistan, we have a huge variety of tourist sites ranging from religious sites to coastal areas, adventure tourism in the Himalayas to desert safaris. It is only a matter of promoting the country’s good image around the globe by the government”.
