Climbers at Gasherbrum set off as snowfall comes to halt

It seems that snow finally stops so the climbers can go up again. The Hungarian Dávid Klein and Szilárd Suhajda have stayed at the base camp of Gasherbrum for a few days and their next goal is C2. Yesterday the two newly arrived Italian climbers, Mario Vielmo and Giampaolo Corona have set off to C1 and if they can reach it and sleep one night at this height they will be at the same level of acclimatization as the Hungarian climbers. It would mean that the four of them can climb together toward the peak of GI. Dávid and Mario are old friends they were together on Annapurna in 2014 and on Shishapangma in this spring.

According to our information the team of Adam Bielecki, Polish climbers and the Ukrainian climbers have also set off to C1 today.
